After being a fan of 10 years I have been so disappointed in her artistic choices this album. And that’s fine, I won’t listen. But I am more disappointed in the behavior of 80% of fans here. It’s an echo chamber where any disagreement is downvoted, not listened to, or just attacked without reason. You don’t have to agree with her 100% of the time to be a fan. The way she is blindly followed without even a thought of “hmm maybe this isn’t ok” I have immense religious trauma & seeing this pastor be brushed off as an artistic choice is disgusting. Hey! Have a question that I realize may be difficult to answer, but figure I'll give it a shot anyway. We're in escrow to buy a place that was marketed as a 3 bedroom condo. 2 suites (which is nice!) and a third, smaller room. The thing is that the third room is right next to the garage, and in fact has a door leading to it directly from the garage. We thought that was weird for a bedroom when we were looking at the place, but we intend to use that area for an office so it doesn't really bother us.
Come to find out through our inspection that it's more than a little weird- it's technically a fire code violation (or something like that) if you were to actually use that room as a bedroom. Which, again, we have no plans to do.
But it has raised a question for us. First, are we overpaying for this place because it's listed as a 3 bedroom when in fact it's really on a 2 bedroom (which we have now confirmed through tax records)? Second, is it going to be hard to resell this place in the future if we decide to be a bit more honest and call this a den or office as opposed to a 3rd bedroom?
Our realtor is telling us that this is pretty common, and he wouldn't hesitate to call it a 3rd bedroom if he was marketing the property for sale. And I get that there may be nothing technically illegal about calling this a bedroom (so long as you disclose that it's a bedroom with a major fire code violation- which our seller didn't do, but at least we found out through our inspection).
So I suppose my question is whether or not anyone thinks we're either likely overpaying for this place based on the somewhat misleading description, and/or whether we'll have trouble reselling the place in the future if we market it as a 2 bedroom when we sell someday?

My overzealous SM got it into their head that drive thru customers must fully hold the credit card machine whenever they use it. I've never been to or heard about another store that follows this rule, even within my district, so I'm pretty sure my SM made it up based on their own interpretation of the CC tipping training. They even invented phrases that we must say when we hand it out, repeatedly telling us that "credit card verbiage is non-negotiable" and hovering over us to make sure we say it.
Since implementing this 'rule' shortly after CC tipping was implemented, our drive thru card machine has been constantly freezing up for hours at a time from customers holding it in the rain. This is beyond frustrating because my SM is maniacally obsessed with keeping drive thru times down, and doesn't seem to see the connection between their rule and bad times. I've talked to SSVs at my store who agree my SM made this rule up, but everyone is afraid to talk to them about it since they're so intense about it.
Should I contact my DM about this issue? I'm sure they wouldn't be happy to hear about our constant lost sales and increased drive times from the card machine going down. If so, how do I find their contact info, and how do I minimize the chance of my SM finding out that I complained? So I've started cycling, more for fitness, not commuting. Been heading out early on Sunday mornings. Looking for routes to do and any tips. Currently getting 30-40km rides in. Read a few threads on this sub and apparently I shouldn't be using Strava, unless I'm trying to kill myself. Would appreciate any tips on dealing with drivers as well. I've found too many don't follow the 1 metre passing rule. My experiences so far have been that the further left I stay, the closer the vehicle will be when passing me. As a newbie to biking, I simply don't understand the aggression & impatience to cyclists, especially at 6am on a Sunday. If it makes any difference, I ride a hybrid bike & am based southside, 4116. This september me and my s/o want to rent an RV in Las Vegas and visit these places:
- Zion national park
- Bryce national park
- Grand staircase Escalante national monument
- Capitol reef national park
- Canyonlands
- Dead horse point national park
- Arches national park
- Mesa Verde national park
drive through monument valley
- Grand Canyon
- Vermillion Cliffs national park
- Waterholes canyon
- Hoover dam
- Back to Vegas
How long do you think we'll need in each of these places? We don't want to rush it seeing as we have three full weeks. We love hiking and just want to see all the beautiful nature that is so different and incomparable to anything we have here in Europe. I am not about the extremely long and strenuous hikes though (although I could be pursuaded to do one if it is totally worth it!).
Is there anything you'd add to our trip? Or anything you'd say to skip? Anything that is only worth a drive by or others that are worth multiple days? Any tips are very welcome and appreciated!
