Hi, I've had tons of trouble finding meaningful work the past few years. I've had various retail and warehouse jobs on-and-off that don't pay particularly well and make me feel pretty crappy. I've accepted that basically any job is going to have it's bad bits and all that, but I still need to be able to make a living and it feels as though most of the options available to me aren't sufficient for achieving that particular goal. I have a BA in History which I don't think has been particularly helpful during this ordeal, so I was thinking of going back to school to maybe get a degree that's more "usable" for lack of a better word.
I've always had a desire to do work where I'm helping people and more than a passing interest in health, medicine and research more broadly, so I was considering a degree in something like public health or epidemiology, although I'm obviously open to other suggestions. I don't know how well I would perform as a doctor or a nurse due to my lack of interpersonal skills, excessive quietness, anxiety or whatever you want to call it, though I imagine my mind could be changed on this front as well with enough time and convincing.
My apologies if this line of questioning is not appropriate here, I was just hoping to get another perspective on what sort of degree/degrees might be worth considering for someone who wants to help others but has a terribly reserved personality.

Hello Dear modders of Skyrim, I am a beginner modder and am currently cursing my way through this. A few days ago, vortex needed an update and after that, it lost connection with SKSE. Now I am trying to redownload it again, even going as far as copying all of the things from a youtube video to try and get this to work. And through that I noticed that I miss a file from SKSE64, more precisely I miss the:
skse64_steam_loader.dll
Which just by reading it, seems very important. Now I have tried downloading different versions of SKSE from their website and not Steam. Is there any way you people know how I can gain access to that file?

I recently told an ex whom I broke up with 4 years ago that I suffered from depression. We were about to get back together, so I wanted to be upfront and honest with her since she would have found out eventually. She has constantly tried to come back into my life over the past 4 years and, up until this year, I rejected her every time. Now, after opening up to her and changing my mind, she dipped 2 days after revealing this about myself. We had hung out a few times over 1.5 months and talked every day.
I’ve decided to use another approach to dealing with my condition in relationships going forward, which will almost keep it somewhat secret. However, is it a reflection of me or do I deserve better?

I have been trying to create a shipment to be picked up at my job. We don't have a UPS store to drop packages off at. The UPS warehouse here is mainly for trucks to get loaded and to make deliveries.
Every time I create a shipment and get through everything, when I click "Pay and Get Labels" the page refreshes and I get the error message "The ready time cannot be later than the latest allowable ready time for the location." I tried yesterday 5/31 for pick up today and got the same thing. When I have tried for today 6/1 for pickup tomorrow 6/2, still the same thing. I have tried changing the time for pickup and that doesn't work. I can't wait until next week to send this package out a customer needs it soon. I tried talking to UPS Support yesterday and support was not understanding what I was saying at all. They gave me the link to schedule a pickup but I need to create a shipment and get labels first. Any Help on how to get passed this because IDK what else to try.

So this happened many years ago but every time I read a story on here it reminds me of this.
While I was still in high school I started getting into really bad fights with my parents. It was nonstop. And seeing as how I was a young, dramatic emo kid I decided to move out.
My friend lived a couple of miles away in a two story house with just her dad. The attic of the house was made into essentially an apartment and she said I could live up there until I figured out what I wanted to do. Since I was super young, this was an amazing deal because getting an apartment at my age would have been hard. Plus she was my best friend. What could go wrong?!
So I moved in... Well, turns out that since her dad never went in the attic they used the upstairs as their hang out area. Which I knew and was fine with because like I said she was my best friend and all the people coming over were also super close friends of mine. It was split into two rooms, one huge main room, and a smaller one which was my bedroom. I thought that since I moved in they would keep their hangouts located in just the big, main room since that's were all the couches and TV/playstation was. And also, the small room was now my bedroom and, ya know, respect.
But no, since my room was smaller they used it to hotbox while I was at work Meaning all of my clothes for school and work constantly reaked of weed. I got one of those portable closets that had plastic all around it you could zip up, and essentially zip your clothes up into it.
I was hoping that would keep the weed smell out. But instead while they were high they thought it was hilarious to go through all my stuff and play dress up in my clothes and not put any of it back. They read my diary out loud, and stretched out all my clothes, ruined my makeup, etc.
They also would eat in my room. Which again is whatever, but they would leave all the food they didn't finish in my room on the floor, along with all the trash.
It started reeking in my room and I couldn't figure out why.
Finally when it got to be so bad I couldn't stand it, I took everything out of the room trying to locate the source. Turns out another friend was looking through the freezer and fridge while high to see what food she could eat and saw a box of frozen fish sticks. She thought the fisherman guy on the front was so funny she had to bring the box upstairs to my room to show everyone and left it up. I guess at some point it fell and was hidden behind my bookshelf.
FOR WEEKS.
I want to drive all the way to my hometown to smack them all just thinking about it.

Since starting reading this sub I've started to look into mine and my husbands pensions.
My husband has a couple of pots across multiple due to different jobs throughout the years.
One in particular called my attention as it was really low and when looking into it and comparing it to the payslips there were payments missing.
This pension pot is all over the place: months missing, some months with a lower payment compared to the one showed in that month's payslip or other months with higher payments compared to that same month's payslip (it was like the employer missed one month and then compensated the following month).
It's for a short period of time and we're talking about £1.5K missing.

The problem is not that my husband doesn't work there anymore but that the company filled for bankruptcy owning many people money (including DH). So it's now dissolved.
There were many red flags that my husband ignored (and that I won't include as this would be a longer post) but we didn't think about checking this till now - four years after the last payslip. So I'm wondering if this money is gone or if there's anything we can do to recover what is his?

Started on Saxenda early last year, switched over to Wegovy by my doctor several months ago. I've got a pretty good handle on eating with it and it really does a good job helping me with my weight struggles.
Recently I was let go from my job, so we now have insurance through my wife's employer. They give a "discounted" rate of $1500. I have to appeal, which they helped me set up and I called my doctor a few mins ago to discuss it.
I'm very nervous that this is going to be a losing battle and I'm going to be without this huge aid that I truly need. I started at 475 and am down under 400. My life has taken a complete 180 from this point last year and I'm afraid I'll backslide if I go off the medication. Anyone have experience with this type of appeal? Do I have a chance of winning? What issues might I have while I wait this out and live without Wegovy?

I want to note that while this is mostly feedback this is just my opinion and Observations after hundreds of hours of gameplay and am writing this is in the hopes the game improves and is not to bash on the game. Most of the feedback might seem negative simply due to the fact these are things I would like to be changed in the game and things the Devs could improve upon to make the game more successful in the future.
Matchmaking
Alot of players seem to complain about poor matchmaking but I think one of the biggest issues with matchmaking is the punishment for simply playing with friends. This has a lot of issues and overall, I think the players that complain about playing against "stacks" are generally coping a little bit or have been unlucky and got against a group of good players that whether they were stacked or not simply are just better players and thus end up winning the game. I think the penalty right now set in place from a lot of the whining of these players during earlier months of the game has really turned off players from either trying the game or continuing to play the game. generally, the majority of casual players don't want to play games alone and end up getting penalized. in my opinion a 5 stack of lower Elo players should not be penalized, and "stacking" is really only an issue when its higher-level players that are doing this but in my experience most of the higher-level players either currently don't play or they play solo or duo as they find it to be too easy to play as a group as 5 people. another reason this is a negative experience is it limits the ability for veteran players to not play with new players they might bring in or for streamers / content creators to do viewer games as the inflation will simply make the games unfun for these players and create frustration for them while also generally being boring for the players they are against since the games are pretty one sided. my solution to this would be to have very minor Elo inflation for playing with friends and if possible have it increase with the amount of higher Elo players you have. I think this system should also favor majority of the group if you have 4 new players with 1 vet player, they should generally be against players closer to the 4 new players then the vet player for example, or vice versa if you have 4 vet players with 1 new player the system should side more towards the veteran players Elo range when matchmaking. Another thing with match making I see is a lot of people complaining about the Elo of players that are in their game you have to understand that the api websites are not 100% accurate and that complaining about these issues especially with a smaller player base isn't going to do anything nor is it going to fix the games you get. I think a lot of players also don't seem to understand you aren't supposed to win every game and if the system is working perfectly and you are at the place you are supposed to be you will have a 50%-win loss. Now I do Also Understand not every game is winnable and this is where it gets frustating especially combined with the things in the next section about afk and draft dodging.

AFK / Dodging
I think there seems to be a larger amount of dodging recently since I guess there is no penalty for doing so this should be changed there is a point to be made where it happens due to internet occasionally or the lobby breaks and everyone gets set to the main menu but deliberately dodging in draft for some reason someone picks something you don't like or you didn't win the 50-50 so you leave and immediately queue up again should not be possible and should carry some type of penalty my expectations for this would be as follows, first offense - 1 minute, second offense 5 minutes - third offense - 10, 4th - 15 minutes, 5th - 60 minutes. and these penalties should not reset till 3-7 days after your last offense this is something that I think should be in place and would help start more games and faster there have been times I've been in queue over 30 minutes due to constant lobby dodging and this is on NA east the most populated server I can't imagine how long it could be on an alternative server with a longer queue time.
Now I'll talk about afk since there seems to be a resurgence in the community talking about players leaving games and afking now this should never be encouraged and in my opinion the penalty for leaving a game should ramp up faster than what it currently does the first or second time it happens I get it sometimes people have issues with the game or internet and I'm ok with it being like 10 minutes then 15 minutes sure but the 3rd offense needs to seriously ramp up quicker to 1 hour in my opinion and then 4th should be 4 hours and then 12 until finally the 6th offense should be a 24 hour penalty. these penalties should not reset for anything less than 7 days after the last offense's penalty ended. Im usually against anything longer then 24 hours penalty however if it seems to be a chronic problem for specific players then they should have further action taken against them with something like a 2-week suspension but that is more for the moderation team to handle and not something that can be automated like a penalty system. I also think the general appearance of afks is slightly blown out of proportion in my games I've played and seen generally an afk happens less often than some people make it out to seem where they say its every other game I think it's usually that it's only the more memorable games in recent memory due to a lot of matches being kind of one sided and forgettable as opposed to someone leaving or a well-balanced back and forth match. Another thing to note with afks I think if you dc in a match let's say for 5 minutes then return and play then next 15 you can still sometimes be hit with a penalty in this situation you should not be penalized in my opinion since there are multiple reasons it might've taken so long to return I'm not sure the threshold on how long you should have to be back in the game to not get penalized after returning but something like this would be nice in my opinion.
Toxicity
I usually have chat turned off in game but always here about players complaining about meeting toxic individuals and things like that personally I think some feedback on reports working would go along way I also think if a player has been reported enough for this, they should simply be chat muted with a minor suspension something like 3–7-day suspension with chat perms removed for 2-4weeks or something. If someone is only having an issue with typing, then just remove the typing from them there is no real reason to permanently remove them from the game just remove that players access to being toxic. I also think the above systems afking and dodging breed into frustration that increase the toxicity that occurs and a touch up on those system might reduce the amount of regular toxicity you see in games for the people that it does occur for.

Gameplay
Personally I really enjoy the gameplay of pred and have been having a good time playing it but some of the major feedback I have related to the gameplay loop is the inconsistency in the game, for example Gideon ult has to do 1 hit of dmg before being cancelable which in my opinion is a design flaw with the ability, or another one being the hit box on most abilities being larger than actual target indicator you see on the ground Shinbi q or Gideon q are great examples of this and would like thing to be better fleshed out so it doesn't feel like you are being hit by abilities that visually aren't even close to you. Another issue I have with the core gameplay is that inhibitors don't shoot on respawn I understand this is to shorten game times but simply make them respawn and do 25% dmg or have half hp or something it feels really bad to defend long enough for them to respawn for them to simply do nothing personally I think this is just a really weird decision and should be changed. The next thing about gameplay I'm going to talk about is warding which really has very minor effects on the game the ability to simply not have enough due to them being time locked and not gold locked I think is really bad especially with how small radius of a radius they provide this might have to do with the small size of the map but personally I find wards to be incredibly underwhelming and not super rewarding to place, I also think warding something like a white camp or a red buff should reveal the timer without having to walk all the way up to the camp which might help the benefits of them a little more even with the small radius. I think wards also have a lot of visual clutter on the mini map which can make it difficult to see things on it such as player pictures ect. I would propose a system more similar to smite where it lights an area in blue on the map that is revealed by the ward as opposed to the eye that clutters things like the camp timers you do have and player icons. The next major issue I have with gameplay is the lack of movement penalty when walking backwards this really makes no sense logically and feels really bad when playing against it there's no reason someone should be able to actively look at me while walking away at the same speed there needs to be some downside this is also weird considering there is a side strafe penalty which adds again to the inconsistency of the game. The last major thing I will bring up here is the hero icons for when players are behind you personally this is a really bad addition to the game and think it should be removed the identifying factor to someone being behind you is the mini map and takes a lot of the situational awareness out of the game when there is just an icon on your screen alerting you usually even to better effectiveness then wards do which just really weakens the ability to get a good flank on someone and really lowers the skill ceiling of the game

Heros / Balance
A major issue I have is the simplicity of almost every hero in the game, there seems to be a very large lack of advanced mechanics and high skill ceilings on almost every character in the game I think the fact most heroes have a low skill floor is good however combined with a low ceiling causes a lack of skill expression and generally makes the kits less enjoyable to play more than a few times each. I would love to see more skill expressive kits that allow more outplay potential without feeling so dumbed down to the point it feels like no matter the engage you will always use your abilities the same way. Hopefully this will improve with more characters, but every character added since early access has been released has been very easy to play and has at least 1 auto locking ability which is the next thing about the heroes I will talk about. Personally, I feel there is way too many auto hit abilities in the game as previously stated every character since EA launch has had at least 1 if not multiple auto hit abilities and this drastically dumbs the game down and lowers the skill expression and, in my opinion, has turned off a lot of players to the game I hope this is something that is moved away from heavily and is only currently in the game due to wanting a lower ceiling on most characters when going into launch in the future. Next I think auto attack penalties should be higher it is very frustrating to never really be able to comfortably walk away from auto attacks in this game especially with the amount of slows and cc in the game combined with the weak penalty and then on top of that lack of backwards movement penalty that should also be applied when walking at players. As for general hero / item balancing I think it is pretty good and currently am really enjoying the most recent ttk changes and think the game is going in the right direction in that front, I also think almost every character is viable currently which is also really positive for the state of overall game balance. I think part of this also comes from the previously mentioned low skill floors and low ceilings for most characters but overall is something I enjoy with the game with a couple outliers here or there so good job to the balance team there. this opinion is always changing however and perhaps the more into this current patch we go I might think differently.

Map
The map is very poorly designed personally I think the map is slightly too small and has a lack of verticality this is due to the way the map is shaped currently the map is very flat with the appearance of being vertical due to the map being in a V-shape which makes it mostly implied verticality and not actual verticality which shrinks the length of the map and cause a lot of weird slopes like in the side lanes that slope upwards. another issue with the map is the lack of variety specifically the jungle camps are the same for example really makes the game a little boring none of them are interesting or have special attacks etc. all are melee with slight color differences that you wouldn't even notice if someone didn't tell you. please add some personality to camps and things or the bosses like make the fang too pit a nest instead of just rock for example. I like the outside camps in the side lanes those are nice and one of the things I would like to stay the same.

Things I Would Like to See in the Future
Lastly, I'm going to just list things I would personally like to see added in the future and order them accordingly.

1. Progression systems, this would encourage retention and increase the reason to play the game beyond just the gameplay which is overall positive can only go so far without a reason this is one of the biggest downfalls of the game right now and is the biggest factor in my opinion to the lower base.
2. Alternative Game mode, the current game mode is meant to be competitive and this lacks reason for casual players to want to play it and combined with some of the above issues drives players away in my opinion an alternative game mode like arena or joust from smite would help significantly with retention and provide a more casual experience for players Aswell as give players the ability to play like a 15 minute game as opposed to the 30 minutes or so the default mode is
3. More heroes, I know this one is obvious, but the current rate is incredibly slow Personally i think the first year or so of launch this should be a priority then slowed down the longer the game is out but think that realistically the current pace should be increased at least with the original paragon heroes.
4. Art, pretty self-explanatory more skins more cosmetics ect. this adds reasons to play as well as adds more flair to the game.
5. actual custom lobbies, the current custom game system is just a way to queue 5v5 against other players I'd like to see actual lobbies in the future since this would help with things like competitive leagues, scrims, viewer games ect. I would also like the practice map to be playable here as well and have custom options like start the game max level 100000 gold start ect.
6. Some type of ranked mode, another one self-explanatory solo duo queue only 5v5 on the competitive map drafting and character swapping ect.
7. Console, and better controller layout as someone that use to play smite on controller for 4 years the current controller layout / options is atrocious and hope it gets improved upon the reasoning this isn't addressed above is because controller v2 is on the roadmap for season 2 so I will hold any feedback till there is more information on that before console. I also have console this low because I think since it is the largest influx of players theoretically it should be last after the rest of the game is in place to retain the most players during this period.

i was terminated for attendance. no biggie. it is what it is. i do want to come back though, i like my team and my store. had a lovely chat with the store manager this morning and was told that i can reapply in 30 days *however* no matter how long i wait, my points will remain and when i come back, i will still be at 7. there is no such thing as a fresh start, a clean slate.
is this true? it seems very stressful to come back only to immediately face termination again for the same thing.

I feel like my SO of 6 months is psychoanalyzing me and hyperfixated on finding something “wrong” with my love of travel. Is this normal?
I am an avid traveler— it’s something that I’m really passionate about and love to do in my spare time. I spent a lot of my free time in my 20’s traveling (50+ countries) and it’s always been a big part of my life. My SO of 6 months (35M) also likes to travel, but seems to think that there’s something wrong with me due to the degree of traveling that I’ve done.
Last night, he mentioned that he thinks that I travel because of novelty-seeking and that he feels novelty-seeking is juvenile and immature. Recently, I’ve felt unhappy in the city that we live in (due to winter, lack of greenery, how loud it is, etc.) and he extended the “novelty-seeking” to my living situation, saying that it seems like I got bored of the city because it isn’t new anymore— I’ve been here for 2 years. I told him that my relationship with our city/my living situation is more layered and complex than he’s making it out to be (I love my friends here and being close to family, but I don’t love the winter), which angered him and caused him to accuse me of gaslighting him because I clearly “hate the city we’re in” and have “done nothing but complain about it since we’ve known each other”. I tried expressing that it was more complicated than he was making it out to be, but he said I'm playing the victim card and that I bring negative energy into the relationship because I complain about our city.
I feel like he isn’t understanding the complexity of my relationship to our city, and that he’s hyperfixated on unpacking what’s “wrong” with my love of travel and dislike of our city, rather than just letting me be passionate about the things that I love. He’s angry with me right now because he says that he thinks that I am not owning up to who I am. I think he’s being hypercritical.
I’m curious to get your perspectives— is he being overly critical, or am I being too sensitive?
TL;DR: My SO of 6 months is fixated on viewing my love of travel as a novelty-seeking problem that has extended to the city that we live in. I feel like he’s nitpicking and being overly critical; he thinks I’m not “owning up to” who I am. Am I being too sensitive? Is it normal for partners to psychoanalyze in this way?

I’m looking to move down to Charlotte in the next few months from NYC and interviewing for jobs in the banking industry.
I have 3.5 years of experience in Treasury Ops at a bank in NY making $120k base. I know that I need to look for a 20% increase if I job hop here, but I have no idea what’s appropriate in Charlotte. Obviously the cost of living is a lot cheaper and I will not be making more than I do now.
Is asking for $110/120k unreasonable? How far does that go down here? Right now, I can’t afford to live on my own in NYC and pay over $2k/month to have two roommates.

So I posted this yesterday, here's the original post for anyone that missed it including the photographs of the damage caused by the Argos removal men:

I paid £20 for the Argos removers to take away my old fridge. 2 men came and essentially tore my vinyl kitchen floor to shreds and now I have to get my entire kitchen floor laminate replaced.
One of the men was extremely aggressive.
Instead of moving the new fridge out of the way gently (it was already moved out of his way but he wanted it moved more) and instead of asking his coworker for help to move it carefully, or asking me to help him, he suddenly and violently shouldered the new fridge which caused 2 rips on the kitchen floor. They took the old fridge, and left yet another rip in the vinyl floor while doing this.
He then shouted at my 67 year old mother to put "washing up liquid in the holes to cover them up" before leaving.
I contacted Argos head office in Milton Keynes via CEO Simon Roberts with a full set of photos. They said they take full responsibility refuse to take full liability, and, at most, they will offer £100. The replacement of the entire kitchen floor will cost around £350-£400. My poor mum was shaking by the time they left.

What are my options here?

In the end I had to delete the post because it began to become derailed by a few users accusing me of wanting to get a free floor replacement out of Argos like a scam artist. Even though the vinyl flooring is brand new. And I never imagined in a million years a professional removal company would do THAT much damage to my floor just from moving a fridge.
So here's the update:
Argos have now refused ALL liability and have again offered me only £100 as a final payment via bank transfer. I've outright refused. How can they refuse liability when I literally have photographs of the damage, a job reference number that confirms they were in my property at that time and on that date, and a character witness who was there when it happened?
They also failed to mention any action being taken against the individual. Not only does the £100 not cover the damage needing to be rectified, it looks like I'm getting no compensation and this removal guy is not getting any action taken against him to prevent this happening to other people. My mum has been very shook up since it happened since he was so aggressive towards her from the second he arrived.
I reached out to a solicitor and the Ombudsman. They said Argos have insurance to cover these exact issues so the £100 is a laughing joke, and the Ombudsman investigation will cost Argos £500. Which is more than what I asked for to rectify this issue (£350).
I will also be bombing them hard on social media and in their reviews with the photos, and sending all this information and their poor response to several news outlets to bring more attention to my case. I am also in touch with carpet fitters to receive invoice quotes from them. One came today just for the inspection and yes - the entire vinyl floor in my kitchen will have to be replaced. Even though it's practically brand new (installed just before Christmas).
Once this case is finally resolved, I will update again. Until then I recommend not using Argos's removal service. Learn from my mistake and find reputable, trustworthy removal companies that come with the right tools to remove large items without causing property damage. I assumed this would be the case with Argos but it unfortunately was not.

I play a lot of league at a fairly high level, but I'm not exactly proud of that because the game damages my sanity at times.
In general, I like to keep in shape, play games with friends, share music I think is great, watch tv/movies/anime (horror and psychological stuff especially), share memes, read, and do some amateur writing. I'm also rather intelligent/insightful and enjoy some nuanced discussion.

This person is extremely influential. He's worked on many big name films. Now he uses his wealth to go around toying with & destroying women's lives. Him and his crowd are full of vile and evil. One of his friends has 11 rape accusations.
I think I need something really powerful to kill him. But I want him to suffer before he goes down. What can you all suggest or point me towards?
I've done rituals and spells before, but not on anyone with this much influence. Seriously, you all have probably multiple seen films he's worked on/contributed to. He may be among the hidden elite. Thus, I'm aware I'll need equally as strong protection.
I want revenge for myself and all these women, and I want it cold and raw. I want all the pain he's caused to be launched right back at him x100. His family and such are fair game to me. They're not any better.

Back in March we decided to go NC with JNMIL because she ignored the boundaries we laid out multiple times regarding how she treats us, what we are willing to do for her and how she uses her health as a control/manipulation tool. It was a peaceful 2.5 months. But alas, my due date is a month away and she knew I'd be having an early c section. Yesterday we got a big deliver from Target from JNMIL. For most this may be a sweet gesture, but coming from her it opened doors we didn't want open. If we kept it, she'd expect contact. She'd want to see our baby. If we sent it to her door, she'd make a poor me Facebook post and her family and friends would start reaching out again. There would be no peace. So we returned it all and had what could be credited back to her method of payment refunded. The two items that couldn't, we got a gift card for. I will send it back certified mail with a very short letter that says that we meant what we said when we went NC. We found out she's been reaching out to people we are close to trying to fish for info on us. She is pretending we just cut her out with no explanation as to why. She is trying to make them feel bad for her so they tell her if we have had the baby and so they come to us on her behalf. We already cut out the family that was doing that. Thankfully the people she is reaching out to told her they knew better than to buy her story and that they were not providing her with any information on us. It is exhausting. I have had this feeling she would try to worm her way back in when it came time to have the baby. I have just a handful of days until my medically necessary c section brings a premature baby into the world. Due to a mix up with the dr, my husband is struggling with antidepressant withdrawals and side effects of adding a new med. I still have stuff to do to prep for baby's arrival. There is just a lot going on. So her trying to start this is just enough stress to make me feel overwhelmed. She will not use this baby as a manipulation tool. She is never getting back in our lives. She will never try and control my husband again. She will never make him feel he was not good enough to be truly loved again. She will never make him feel like he is her property and that he owes her his undying loyalty and worship. I refuse to stand for that. He has come so far and is such a truly amazing man. He deserves so much better than she ever gave him. Just because she paid tens of thousands of dollars to buy him from an orphanage does not mean she owns him. YES she adopted him but she never raised him, never gave unconditional love, never acted as a mother should. She screamed at him, talked down to him, pawned him off at every possible opportunity, refused him access to therapy, watched as he spiraled into depression and despair and ensured he stayed dependent on her into his adult years. She loved that he needed her to be able to function. But I came along and truly saw him. I helped him get sober. I loved him enough that he saw he needed help and got it. He made changes to become the man he wanted to be. He put in the work. He did it. He overcame a childhood of trauma that started well before the orphanage and went well beyond his adoption. She does not get to try and take that from him. She does not get to take credit for his success either.
Sorry so long. I am just stressed over her antics. I wish she'd leave us alone .

I’m a 26 year old white English male. So for about 14 months now I’ve had pelvic and festival pain. When it first started my balls were aching quite severely for about 1 week straight & and I also had an uncomfortable feeling in my pelvic area halfway between my pubic area and my belly button, but on the left side. I went to the doctors, he thought I had a cyst in my testical, after checks, I don’t. It took about 10 months for me to properly see someone and get diagnosed with a small varicocele in my left testicle. I’ve still had the pelvic for the entire time, all day, everyday. About 8 months in started developing an itchy anus which would bleed when wiping (no blood in stool). Assumed this was due to an anal fissure/hemorrhoids.
I was provided cream for this but I’ve had it for about 6 months and it hasn’t went away, the bleeding has mostly stopped due to being more focussed on how I clean it but it’s still itchy. The pelvic pain is uncomfortable when I exercise and when I’m sitting down, it gets better when I lie down. The actual source feels like it radiates from one particular location on the left side of my pelvic area and I also have lower back pain. I’ve had an ultrasound where they didn’t notice anything and I’ve also been prescribed anti-Biotics for a month incase it was prostatitis. They checked my prostate and it seemed normal size and they also made me a do a flow test at the hospital to make sure I’m emptying my bladder properly, which I am. It doesn’t burn when I urinate, I haven’t lost weight, I don’t feel the need to urinate all the time, my stools aren’t completely solid but also not completely diarrhoea, I do need to poo several times a day but I eat a lot with going to the gym. I do sometimes get bloated and feel full.
I recently had a Vericocele embolisaiton procedure, however it wasn’t completed as when they had the metal coil inside my vein, they couldn’t locate the exact vein people normally have in that location because in their words ‘my plumbing is different to most people’. I’m currently waiting to hear back to see what they’re going to try instead. I really need this sorted, it’s effecting my mental health and wearing me down. My pelvic area sometimes feels like I’ve got pins and needles there, it’s just really uncomfortable and my balls ache everyday. I don’t know how they haven’t completely ruled out a hernia or bowel cancer but it’s a nightmare trying to get booked in for a doctors appointment with the NHS and when they do check something I’ve always got to wait about 4 months, meanwhile my condition could be getting worse.
Diet - eat plenty fruit, veg and meat every day. Plenty water. Very little sugar processed sugar.
Exercise - Weight lifting 4/5 times per week, been doing boxing every Saturday for nearly 2 months.
Does anybody have any idea’s what it could be/what to do?

Hey all!
I'm a home barista for pretty much just myself, and I have been using a Breville Barista Express for 2 years now. I have learn SO MUCH just from pulling a shot a day, and while I admit i really only drink lattes, even in such a drink, I can taste the progression.
Here is my question/confusion though.
Long story short I got my grind size setting to 2 on the Barista Express, and for several months at this setting I'd be puling a 36g shot in about 30-35 seconds from a dry dose of about 18.4-18.7. That was coming out wonderfully. I'm also getting a fresh bag of beans, at the longest, every month. But for once and since, my shots have been consistent. With a bottomless portafilter I'm getting almost no spurting, the pour is smack in the middle, good striping, the works.
Then about 2 weeks ago, randomly with my fresh bag of beans, out of nowhere an 18.5g dry dose at a grind size setting of 2 led to a 36g shot in a whopping 55-60 seconds! This has been happening consistently now, but here is the thing...
Again, minimal to no spurting, perfect middle of the filter pour, beautiful striping, amazing crema, and my pressure gauge is at the upper limit of what is normal for espresso, not beyond. And now, both my espresso shot alone and my latte taste EVEN BETTER!
In my head, I'm thinking this phenomenon technically falls into the ristretto category rather than lungo because its a slower pull but I'm just running it for a longer time than ristretto would define. But that's neither here nor there, my question is this:
Does anyone have any idea why this would just start happening and I guess the silly question is is this wrong? If it is, I don't wanna be right 😂

I know with food and drink ultimately it's about enjoying it, so there isn't really a right or wrong answer, but insights are much appreciated!

I had to take the boat to the dock so I could replace the bunk carpet. It is a single axle trailer with two 2x4 bunks. Small 17ft fiberglass bayliner.
All went well but I had an issue with the middle bolt on the port side. I needed to take the brackets off to get the carpet on. I suppose I could have just cut around them but I chose to remove. And this is when I noticed an issue.
The middle bracket I could not remove because the bolt and nut were rusted to hell. I had limited tools at the dock so put it all back together and loaded the boat. But that bolt is loose and needs replacing.
So now I have to think of how I am going to repair this. Do I take all the carpet off again ( uhhg so many staples) or do I just cut a slit in the carpet?
I also think the bolt hole is wallowed out and I will have to drill another hole next to it and use a new galvanized carriage bolt and nut.
Whats the best way to tackle this? Is moving the bracket an inch or two to the bow or stern an issue? If not, which way do I move the bracket?

Our use case is that we have a huge context. And a question. We want to answer the question based on the huge context. I could have followed this use case in the LangChain docs. However, the context is not some static document. The context is some template with some variables that will be filled in based on user specific data. So, what is the way to go now? Does it sound like a good idea to store the context filled with the user data in a text file and treat that as a document and do as mentioned in that example? So now, we store one text file per user (which can be deleted once LLM generates the response btw). Or is there any better approach to this?
