So, to resume, like a month ago I confessed my feelings to my best friend. I told her that I liked her, and that I knew it probably wasn't reciprocal but it felt wrong not telling her. That I wanted her to be happy and that if she didn't felt the same about me, I would like continue being friends.
At first, she told me that everything was okay and she could never be mad at me because of that. We made jokes about the topic, spoke for like 3-4 hours like nothing happened, and then she started answering to me differently. Like... Waiting 1-2 hours between messages, being really cold and just not the same as before. When some time of her answering like that passed, I took it as a way of hers of showing me that she wasn't comfortable and I distanced so she could think.
She continued speaking with me but with those attitudes. I always answered because I felt I deserved her being angry towards me, that this mood would pass sooner or later, and we would continue being friends as always.
Like a week after all that, she was still being like that with me via online conversation (whatsapp and discord). I traveled to the city where she is (because I have family there. We are friends since childhood, but 2-3 years ago I moved from my town to a bigger city because I wanted to study), but (I'm sure) she didn't wanted to see me in person (something that we always do when I go there). I was there for like a week, and she didn't spoke to me for the whole time. I again understood and, when she returned after I came back to my place, I ignored it and tried to make it look like it was all okay.
Another couple of days passed, and I distanced myself. I send her a message telling how I felt, and she answered saying that there wasn't anything strange, and that if she wasn't answering like always it "wasn't because of me". I just didn't wanted to continue with whatever this was, so I stopped answering her messages, and just continued with my life.
I figured I wasn't trying on the "finding a couple" department because I was too focused on her, so I started dating another friend that I was somewhat interested before, but never gave a chance because (now I know) I liked her.
So, now we reach the "strange" part of the situation: after a week of not answering her messages (or doing so but not nearly as often as before), she sent me an audio at a party, telling me that she's really sad and needs someone to talk with. I answered because I still consider her my friend, and she told me that her boyfriend is an idiot that's cheating on her. So, first of all, I didn't knew she had a boyfriend nor that she was speaking with anyone to begin with (which is strange because prior of me confessing to her, we spoke about everything. She was always telling me when someone cute spoke to her and things like that). She seemed really angry and sad, so I tried to continue the conversation. Then, she continued telling me that they were dating for like 3-4 weeks (exactly the same time since I confessed to her), and in that time they fought for like 4 different things, and this time he made an instagram reel in the house of another girl. I gave her advice, and we continue talking for like a day as we did before. But after that, she came back to being cold and harsh towards me.
At this point, I don't know what to do with all this. I'm truly lost, but I ignored her and continued with my life again. I'm now having a lot of fun with this friend that I'm dating, so being with my best friend isn't a thing in my mind anymore.
Yesterday, she spoke to me yet again as before. Sent me like 10 messages talking about her day and being nice, but instead of making me feel good, I'm now angry. I feel like she's trying to play with me. Like... If she wanted me to be behind her, but while she treats me like trash in the process? I don't know how to put it into words (sorry, english isn't my native language). And all that "I now have a boyfriend" thing that came out of nowhere...
AITAH if I ignore her, even when I was the one who began the whole situation by confessing my feelings to her? I don't want to make it look like I'm now ignoring her because she has a boyfriend, neither... Because that's not the case, I was totally okay with just being friends, if she didn't treated me like that.

Ruhenheim is the destination for doomsday 'The Perfect Suicide.' Tenma will have to pull the trigger once he has the atrocities Johan has caused. So Johan distributes guns out to the people of Ruhenheim (we never see this) we just see some random person picking up a gun. My big problem with Ruhenheim is that would it truly be enough to give someone a gun to start a massacare. You would have to do something more right? Manipulate them play on their insecurities I don't think if you just have someone a gun and told them to kill a bunch of people that they would do it. There had to have been something more right?
I guess because multiple people were given guns that they might have acted our of fear of their lives. The grudges and dislikes people once felt could now finally be relieved with the pull of a trigger.
Let me know your thoughts about this. I mean Ruheheim at the start was a lovely place full of great people. I guess the moral of the story is that anyone can be corrupted if given enough power and that people have a monster inside of them and it can be released. It's how control our dark urges and thoughts that makes us strong.

Obviously Johan's plan worked but how could he be that confident in the darkness of people to know his suicide was nearly perfect?

I started playing elden ring a while back without any dark souls experience. I love sekiro and blood borne but never made it around to any dark souls titles. So I did a lot of Googling about stuff on elden ring that may have been obvious to DS people. The general consensus at that time was to stop leveling your character somewhere around 125-150 so that you maintain a lvl close to the average end game elden ring player. The best rune farm at the time was luring a chicken off a cliff over and over again for around 10k runes per chicken. Using this method would get you to 150 eventually but it was a grind. Now that the game has been out a while there are glitches and exploits and stacks of 99 lords runes that have effectively retired the chicken and there are a lot of people running the game at max level and minumum effort. To me, balancing your damage, equipment load, poise, hp, defense, and whatever else Im forgetting are core mechanics of the game that everyone approaches differently thus making your character unique to you. At 700 we're all playing the same character. The new exploitive meta is to get your character to 713 as soon as possible and try to see how high up the NG tiers you can make it before your training wheels break. Max lvl on your 1st or second playthrough isn't any different than the game having an unintended easy mode. Thats my thinking anyway. If you made it to the end of this you either like pvp or you have a lvl 700 character who doesn't appreciate my videogame ethics.

Introduction
After watching all 12 episodes of Brand New Animal twice (except for Ep 12, which I watched just once) and watching several YouTube videos reviewing the anime, I discovered that BNA's story desperately needs improvement. The show becomes a "meh" level of quality when its stunning art style and jaw-dropping action scenes are combined with poor worldbuilding and irrational character decisions. There must be a way to change the writing while still keeping all the parts that viewers love about BNA - the concept of humans turning into anthropomorphised animals.
I have an idea of how this might be achieved.

Proposal
Note that this proposal focuses on fixing all the plotholes in the story, not how to best integrate the signature "Trigger" action into the writing.
Currently, its writing has tons of problems, meaning all the characters act irrationally and the plot is full of "pretzel logic".
For example:

• "Beastmen VS Humans" makes zero sense.
• Beastmen prefer to live like humans and appear in human form (they all have human forms) despite the war crimes that humans repeatedly committed against them.
• Beastmen keep attacking their own kind irrationally.
• Nirvasyl Syndrome (or "Angry Beastman Disease") defeats the theme of racism.
• Backstories make no sense/not elaborated.
• Michiru Kagemori is the dumbest protagonist ever.

But, the show also has a lot of good things that fans would like to see more of.
For example:

• Action-packed fighting between Beastmen resembling various animals.
• Beautiful art style.
• Potential for great conflicts and themes.
• Very cute protagonist (see Jackisboy's video).

I might have a solution that can solve all the plot holes:
Instead of Beastmen and Humans always having been separate species, change the lore so that Beastmen and Humans used to be one and the same - normal human beings. Beastmen would be re-defined as Humans who have gained the ability to transform between a Beast form and a Human form.
This way:

• Humans hate Beastmen due to the impression of a diseased race of people.
• Beastmen prefer to live like humans and appear in human form because they are all still human at heart.
• Beastmen attack their own kind because they abuse their animalistic abilities, and it is not limited to just angry beastmen.
• Nirvasyl Syndrome - we can either do away with it, change it into propaganda spread by Beastmen haters, or change it into an artificially-made disease made by Sylvasta.

As for the protagonist's poor decision-making and lack of backstory, that can be changed by elaborating on her backstory in the first episode and tweaking her personality so that "heroic dumbass" is an explicit part of it.

If I could re-write BNA...
... I would stretch the original plot from 12 episodes to 3 seasons with 12 episodes each.

Season 1
Michiru escapes to a island that has been transformed into Anima City. She learns to become comfortable in her own skin and gains friends there, including Shirou Ogami and "the bears", who are a basketball team (and NOT a baseball team)
In the background, Mayor Rose is doing a bad job at being the mayor of the city, which leads to lots of social-economic issues in Anima City, which leads to lots of crime.
[insert human terrorists here]
[insert beastmen mafia here]

Season 2
A new religion has arisen in Anima City that claims to be led by the "Silver Wolf" god. Turns out it's just Michiru's high-school friend, Nazuna. Michiru faces off with Nazuna as she builds her religion.
Shiout Ogami reveals himself to just Michiru to be the true, original, Silver Wolf.
In the end, Nazuna's lie falls apart and all the beastmen rise up against her. Nazuna gives up seeking to become an "idol" and leaves Michiru's life once again.
In the background, however, Alan Sylvasta of the cooperation Sylvasta Pharmaceutical is running to be the new mayor. In the end, he is finally elected as the new mayor and Mayor Rose is kicked out.

Season 3
After achieving a good research & development company and gaining political power, as well as the favour of the Beastmen, Alan Sylvasta can finally chase his ultimate goal: gaining divine power and becoming the god of the Beastmen.
He rebuilds a ton of infrastructure in Anima City, not just to improve it and serve its citizens better, but to replicate the appearance of the "first Animal City", which is where Shirou was from.
He also researches how to become a beastmen and uses Michiru's DNA to secretly turn himself into a wolf beastmen.
In the end, Alan Sylvasta builds a giant pentagram stage. He stands and the centre and holds a giant congregation all around the centre. He replicates the series of events that turned Shirou Ogami from a regular wolf beastmen into a deity and succeeds in becoming a big yellow wolf god thingy.
Shirou Ogami transforms into his god form and fights Alan Sylvasta. An epic flashy god fight ensues. Shirou wins.
The remaining beastmen who are still alive decide to flee Anima City because they no longer believe that they will ever get a good leader. However, Michiru convinces Shirou to lead the Beastmen and be the new-new mayor of Anima City.
In the end, Shirou reluctantly agrees to lead the small portion of Beastmen who still believe in Anima City.

Note that I'm not sure if a re-make of BNA should repeat all the storylines from the original. While that would give a lot of respect for the original, I am afraid that it might be boring to see the same thing playing out in a different way.
After all, this is a world that should be more about the tons of humans being discriminated against because they gained the ability to turn into animal-human hybrids, not a world where two people are trying to become God! A "furry" show should be about the "furry concept" and all its ethical issues!

Additional Notes
BNA currently dances around many themes, but one theme that should stand out the most is "Identity". It is better for the show to focus on this central theme and branch off from it for different characters.

• Season 1: Michiru could struggle between choosing to rebuild her "human" life or to develop a new "beastmen" life.
• Season 2: Nazuna believes that because she has powers like that of a god, she ought to assume the social status of a god (to become popular).
• Season 3: Alan Sylvasta is power hungry??? The theme of identity does not fit very well here. Perhaps he thinks that a good leader should gain god powers or something.

Theme is very important. The YouTuber LocalScriptMan talks about themes much better than I can.
I'm not a writing guru. I only picked up writing as a hobby about a year ago. These are just my thoughts on the show. If anyone wants to pick up on this idea and re-make BNA, please do.

TL:DR - change BNA lore so that beastmen are humans that have become beastmen so the plotholes regarding "Beastmen acting like humans" are all filled up and so better conflict can be imagined.

I'm coming to the end of a week in a family resort in ibiza with my 3 young nephews 5, 4 and 1, with their and my parents. I had been doing better the previous few weeks but not great, and was nervous about the holiday due to fatigue, possible reinfection and general anxiety but aside from the first couple of days, mostly due to the early flight needing a 3am start it has been great, just what I needed to let my autonomic stress settle down. I still have to nap in the pm, and don't stay up/out past 8 or 9 but been able to play with my nephews, enjoy the pools and beach etc, even did a bit of yoga class this morning. Realising how deconditioned I am, wasn't great post pandemic before I got LC but 7 months of it made it a lot worse and this trip has helped a bit. Yesterday spent morning at market and each in hot sun and afternoon in pool carrying nephews legs were like lead jelly by 7pm and was so hungry. Main concern is more weight gain due to all inclusive meals, but happy I can have some beer also without flaring. Supps wise I brought my zoloft, daily antihistamines, pyncegenol, dandelion leaf and aeon longevity complex. Masked on plane and a couple of coach rides, not at the buffet restaurant, and not seen any mozzies was a bit concerned as they had some dengue last year but pretty rare

I use dmz discord groups to find players that have similar playstyle/goals in dmz, as it is 100% better than loading with randoms and hoping they have mics. I would imagine that most of you who are also looking for dmz teammates are looking at different discord groups in hopes of finding teammates with similar skill level and goals.

As I said from the title, is it really so much to stack only crit dmg/rate without paying attention to the other sub stat?
I ask you this thing and I would like to understand how it works. I've been playing genshin for 2 years now and I still struggle so much to make 36* in the abyss, sometimes I struggle just to finish it.. I watch youtube videos and see people who end up just stacking crit dmg/rate as much as they can and they manage to make the abyss in a very simple way..I don't understand what I'm doing wrong or if there's some piece I'm missing to understand everything..I want to clarify that I'm not a novice gamer but I've already dealt with games in which you have to build the character like diablo, the division and many other games, this is to tell you that I have always understood very well the games of this type but genshin, I don't know why, I still can't figure out how to "win"

When I'm not busy conquering the corporate IT world, you'll find me pursuing my passions. Hobbies are important, right?I'm an avid sports enthusiast, particularly in hurling and rugby. There's nothing like the adrenaline rush of the game and the thrill of competing. I used to play at a high level, but since I copped a couple of injuries, I now cheer on from the sideline. It's different, but I still get the buzz from the stands.
Thankfully, there's more to me than just sports. I'm also a culinary aficionado. I love to whip up delicious dishes in the kitchen, and my favorite thing is sharing the joy of a home-cooked meal with someone special. I used to think cooking was just something everyone did, but a few of my mates barely know how to work a microwave.
Life is all about balance, and I believe in seizing every opportunity for adventure. Whether it's exploring hidden gems in the city or embarking on spontaneous road trips, I'm always up for new experiences and making unforgettable memories.

• While I was recovering from surgery he told his grandmother that he really wanted a salad and that I didn’t make his salad. (we both told him that he is old enough to make his own and that I was recovering from surgery)
• Complained that he had to go grocery shopping with me after my surgery because I was on a lifting restriction.
• Rarely does dishes, laundry, cleans (complains or makes excuse as to why he doesn’t) (this became real apparent that I do a lot of house work after my surgery)
  • He will load the dishwasher, but not hand wash the dishes in the sink that can’t go into the dishwasher 😑
• Always says that we need to clean things up but never actually clean those things up (I have to end up doing it)
• When we host things, he will do everything except the things that we need to do.
• Once said that he didn’t know how to use the Swiffer to clean the floors.
• Will constantly say that we need to do certain outdoor projects, but never do them, but will spend hours either working on his guitar stuff or playing video games.
• Knows every Wednesday that I go into the office and never takes something out for dinner.
  • One week I had a migraine and just wanted to go home and go to bed, but got grumpy because he hadn’t eaten anything all day and I wasn’t able to make him dinner (I also didn’t want to stop anywhere because my head was killing me).

Hello, I haven't played lol for a while and now that I made a smurf account a while ago and its like level 25 and now I need help with chosing a good jungler to push that account. I played lol for a long time so I know how to play every jungler. I would prefer a jungler that can carry. I am thinking about: kha zix, evelynn, rengar, heca, even at something like kindred , nidalee or ekko. Would like opinions about champions good for low elo.

Let me first just say that I have really been enjoying the game so far and love how the gameplay is similar to SMB3, but the franchise mode goes so much deeper. As someone who exclusively plays franchise mode, this is exactly what I was hoping for with SMB4.
The only downside I’ve had is my teams aren’t saving game to game. When I look at team stats, I can see every other stat tracking correctly except all the RBIs are stuck at 0. I haven’t seen anyone else post about this, so I’m wondering if this is just a one off bug or has anyone else seen this.

Everything is weird about this for me. It's just like, I don't, I'm just like, I guess a socially awkward kind of, don't really put myself out there. Well, I do with fighting, but it's like, I've never really put myself out there in life. So it's like to be in these kinds of positions, it's just, it's all a lot for me. Wow. Well, it's amazing that the way you handle fighting, you can handle this the same way you handle fighting. You just get comfortable with it. I think that, I don't know, for me, social situations are a lot harder than like fighting situations. Wow. That's crazy. Oh yeah. Has it always been like that? 100%. Since you were a child? Yeah. I feel like I've always been like the socially awkward kid in the back of the class, like the nerd. Well, I still am at the gym, but I volunteered with animals my whole life. I volunteered at the Humane Society, a horse rescue, wildlife rehab, but just animals were my thing. And then it was just kind of a left field. I started kickboxing when I was 16. Just for fun? Yeah, I really don't know where it came, like what the idea was, but- Where'd you start? What gym? At Dean's gym. Oh, okay. Wow. You got lucky. So exactly. I think pro fighters worked for my dad. So I wanted to start kickboxing and then my dad found out that this guy was a pro fighter for Dean. So he ended up finding his gym and that was the first gym I started at. Wow. Well, what a great place to start. And so then you start kickboxing and how long before you decide, well, what about this MMA stuff? How long was that? I think it was probably like four or five months before I started taking the MMA class there, but I wasn't like thinking about fighting. There was a kid who was on the wrestling team at my high school who started training at Dean's gym and he was like, oh, why don't you take the MMA class? And I thought, okay, I'll have a partner. Why don't I try it? And I just kept on doing it. And then I was training like every day for like three hours a night, you know? And they're like, all right, well, why don't we just get you a fight at this point? Wow. What was it about fighting in martial arts that you became so obsessed with? I really think it was a one. I don't know what it was at first because I didn't start jujitsu, especially in the gi until like a year after I started training. But when I started gi jujitsu, I fell in love with that 100 percent where it's just the technique of it and the little tiny details of jujitsu that matter so much. Like if you put your thumb on this side of the hand or on this side of the hand, it makes a huge difference. Like the little tiny techniques that can make the difference where now a 115-pound girl at the time could do whatever she wanted to a 200-pound guy. You know, it was manhandling these guys around the room. And I'm like, just because of these techniques that I learned. And I thought that was awesome. Yeah, that is an amazing thing. It's jujitsu is the one martial art that delivers as promised, where the smaller trained person can defeat the larger untrained person. There's a lot of other martial arts. I mean, you have a better chance, but when they're really big, you know, and some guy is swinging it. If you notice how to punch a little bit and you get clubbed with one of those giant hams, you get fucked up. But if you get into a struggle, like some sort of a scramble, and you knock into some chairs and all of a sudden you get ahold of this person, now he's fucked. That's what's crazy. It's like that a small person can physically control and submit a much stronger person regularly. It happens all the time. It happens with black belts. Even in striking, it's like a person cannot know anything, but if they're big enough, they throw their hand the right way. They can knock you out. Yeah. If you get hit with Francis Ngannou's pinky, you're in trouble. Exactly. You know, there's certain people that are so powerful. The idea that you're going to stand and trade with them is crazy. They're going to hit you once and you're dead. It just doesn't work that well. Jiu-jitsu is just not the variant of space. So there's not that element of guessing where it's like, I can control and I can feel what you're going to do by touching you. It makes it a lot easier. You're not guessing what that space is striking. You're also not guessing the variables. How fast is this person? How fast am I accustomed to people punching me? Is this person much faster? Do I have to anticipate that? Because if you ever see like street fight videos, the most horrific ones are some poor asshole who wants to start a fight with someone who's a trained fighter and the trained fighter fucks them up. But you could see like they have no idea how fast things can happen. I'm sure you've seen a Joe Schilling one. Yeah. Joe Schilling one is ridiculous. But there's no way that guy could have known that that can happen that quickly. There's no way. And people don't expect like for someone like me, a lot of times I get, I would never guess that you're a fighter. For someone like Joe Schilling is still even like, oh yeah, you wouldn't like just see him. Just like an axe murderer. But you just see him walking around. Like most people you don't expect that they're... Joe Schilling you don't expect it? I don't know. He looks like a psycho to me. Yeah. But say like Ryan Hall. Ryan Hall is a great example. You don't expect him to be a fighter, but it's like you never know what somebody is capable of when it comes to sports like this. Oh, for sure. And then you get to Mikey Musimache. Yeah, exactly. That's the best example. Yeah. Mikey is a stone cold killer. And he looks like a guy who comes over to fix your computer. Like he looks like the friendliest super nerd. Oh, this video is horrible. This is street fight in a parking garage. Have you seen this? No. These guys start fucking with this dude in a parking garage. The guy trying to get away. No, he fucked the other guy up before this. This is the shorter version. Okay, this is the shorter version. So this guy, he's trying. He's like, come on, you want some? And he moves forward. This guy leg kicks him. And then this is where it gets ugly. Punches them. Bam. He's out. Yeah, you don't want that. Like what? Like it's awesome to see that stuff works, right? For people like, hey, this is real. Someone tries to attack you. You have an upper hand. But also, what are you doing? Yeah. These fucking people. I've never been in a street fight in my life. Good for you. I don't intend to ever. It's just, I don't get it. Yeah, there's, I don't see a use for fighting outside the cage for me. A lot of people anger management issues. And then there's criminals too. And you know, bad folks. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, there's a lot of weird stuff in the world. But just for me, I think it's fascinating that you are more afraid of social interaction than you're afraid of cage fighting. That might be one of the greatest lines that anyone has ever said. I think that's going to get you a lot of fans. For real. For me, it's just like literally, I never really did any kind of interviews or media or anything like that until I got in the tough house. So that's going from absolutely zero to 100%. What was that like? You were like 22 at the time? Yeah, I was 22 and I was having interviews every day. Cameras on you 24-7. Literally, after every single interview, I had to go and change my shirt because I'd be dripping sweat like I just got out the sauna. Whoa. Just so nervous after every single interview. Do you think they brought you into the house knowing that you were nervous too? Like that you're a little socially awkward in that regard and maybe that would make good television? I guess I never thought of it in that way. Obviously, they brought you in because you're skillful. But they also cast that show as a reality show. It's a very cleverly done show. It's smart the way they do it. Even with what they're doing now with Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler, it's great but perfect shit talking. When Conor tells him you'll do as you're told, it's amazing. I hope that fight takes place. But it's such a show, right? So it's not just an athletic competition. It's also they want to make sure the people are fun. Oh yeah. Our season seemed pretty tame though, I feel like in general. We had a lot of ... There was me and Montana Delarosa were the two younger girls and then everybody else I feel like was older and more mature. Around at least 30s and they were like ... Nobody was trying to start drama. Nobody was trying to get in each other's faces or we didn't have any altercations. It was a pretty chill season. That's great. So no one ever encourages any bickering or anything like that? They don't ever tell you, hey, that bitch has been science and shit. Does anybody ever do that? No, nobody ever really does anything like that. But it's just the boredom gets to you if anything else. It's like ... I feel like ... No phones, right? No phones, no TV, no music, no books, no ... Nothing. No books. Nothing at all. Oh my God. Nothing? So it's like ... Can you have a notebook? You're allowed to get a notebook and then they gave us ... We asked for coloring books and they gave us sketch pads. Oh my God, I think I would go nuts. That sounds like one of those anti-tech retreats. Exactly. Where they try to weed people off their tech addictions. I was just talking to one of the boys who's actually on the Conor McGregor season over the weekend and he said the exact same thing as me. He was like, it was the best and worst experience of my life. Because it's like when you're in the gym, there's so many highs, it's so great. But then when you go back to the house, you're just sitting there for hours and you're bored and it sucks. What do you guys do to kill time? Can you play games? Do they have ... They used to have pool, right? Yeah, I think they had a pool table and a chess table and then they have the list where you can order anything. Oh, so you could order like Monopoly? Yeah, so we would order a bunch of bullshit just trying to entertain ourselves. God, did you have good conversations? Or was it weird because you're all competitors? It's weird, well, not because we're competitors because I'm weird. That's awesome. I felt like I ... Especially back then, I wasn't able to just like, I don't know, acclimate to that, going into a house with 16 different girls that I don't really know. Right. Yeah, a completely alien experience. You're feeling a little bit awkward and you're also 22. And then also, bam, now you're on TV. It's my first time really like leaving home, I would say, for a long period of time. So it was definitely a big experience, like a lot to take on. How long ago was that now? Six years? Six years. Would you say that now you're entering into your fighting prime? Do you think that's happening right now? Oh yeah, I think this is like just the beginning of my prime. Street Fighter 6 is coming out tomorrow and I want to play it on my steam deck. I am having an issue with my hitbox that I made though. The buttons for a and b are swapped and some of the buttons don't seem to make an input. It works on my windows pc how can I get it to work on my steam deck?

My coterie of independent fledglings is playing in a heavily modified Chicago by night setting (potential spoilers), and are just getting ready to start a REALLY dangerous political story arc, and I thought it was worth getting an outside opinion before we jump into the deep end.
The players:
A pissed off independent Lasombra who feels he and his clan are being wronged by the Camarilla with the move to be incorporated. Wants to use the forces of American Far Right extremism to shatter the status quo in the city and in the process weed out the Cam and start over.
A Brujah civil rights lawyer who is in deep with the Anarchs...at least she was until she frenzied in Elysium and got herself blood bonded to the Prince. Yes, it is a massive problem.
A Catiff investigator pretending to be a Ventrue, with a focus on Auspex. So far, he's gotten away with it, but it will again me a major problem at some point.
A Catiff book shop owner childer of a Tremere. Yes, he has blood sorcery. Yes, it's going just as well as you'd imagine. Our coterie has a 2 dot enemy Tremere.
A Tzimisce surgeon who is working towards the goals of his mysterious Methusala Mwala. All we know is that they don't align with any of the sects as they currently exist.
The situation:
After some early successes, we've gotten a reputation as reliable, discrete, and fast when it comes to finding information. This led to us getting two separate offers, more or less, at the same time.
First was a request individually to our fake Ventrue from the Senechal to work with the Malkavian Primogen to discredit his Sire, the head of a massive Ventrue run multinational corporation, so that he could assume control of the family business.
The Malk, true to form, treats the whole thing as a wonderful joke is anonymously blackmailing the Sire into publicly humiliating himself. Through some great investigating by our fake Ventrue, he discovered that the Primogen is threatening to leak his real identity to SI. Every single one of our characters agrees that getting SI involved over essentially a prank is a completely unacceptable and stupid move and justifies his death, one way or another.
A short time later, we get called to visit Mr. Fat Cat Sire at his office building, where we are hired to find whoever is anonymously threatening him, at the price of 2 minor boons to the coterie, or 1 major if we both find and eliminate the culprit. During the visit, a well-timed Premontion and a little sleuthing helped us discover that he was somehow involved in the werewolf attack that killed the last Prince and has been taking meetings from the group of Hecata which recently took over NYC at the end of our last Chronicle. Again, we all agreed that letting lose a pack of werewolves on the streets of Chicago was an action worthy of death. Plus, he's a despicable person who tried to make us sign a contract in blood enforced by the Tremere, and we don't like getting pushed around.
Lastly, we discovered that this guy is a MAJOR financial player, to the point that his death, if done poorly, has the potential to seriously destabilize financial markets.
The plan
We all agree that Mr. Malk and Mr. Money bags need to go. While some of us are on board for collapsing the global financial structure, we've agreed that we'd effectively be declaring war on all of Clan Ventrue if we were ever remotely implicated. That means someone needs to be able to come up with the ball at the end of all this, and the logical choice is the Senechal. (Our Lasombra and Brujah aren't happy with this and are looking for another solution)
We DO want to get paid somewhere along the line, and that means dealing with the Malk before the Ventrue. Luckily, our fake Ventrue has a meeting scheduled with him for his part in the "prank" and is going to wear a wire to capture the conversation on tap and try to incriminate him. Evidence in hand, we set up a hit on him, and Torpor Mr. Malk. Specifics of the hit are TBD, but the Brujah has an assassin Gangrel as a Mwala who might be interested for the right price. Premonition is a hell of a power, though, and we have no ideas how to get around it yet.
Ideally, we aren't implicated, but this next part is tricky regardless. We need to go to Mr. Fat Cat's place, show him the evidence, give him the Torpored body, collect our boon, more or less immediately cash it in, then somehow find actual evidence of the Werewolf/Hecata stuff, and scurry over to the Senechal to get his fat ass Blood Hunted.
Obviously, there are holes in that plan big enough to drive a truck through, but we figure that, in the worst case, we use the boon to get Mr. Fat Cat to cover us for the disappearance of the Malk Primogen and cut out losses there.
BEST case, which seems unlikely, everything goes perfectly to plan, Mr. Fat Ass gets taken down, and the Senechal inherits, we manipulate him into making a play for Prince with his newfound wealth, then get to take advantage of the internal struggle to topple the whole tower in the city, with the loss of the Prince, Senechal, a Primogen, and one of the largest bank rollers in the city.
So yeah...how screwed are we?
